¿Y a ti? ¿Qué te parece todo esto?

Lady Gaga Urges Continued Support For 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Repeal

Gaga posts video message imploring U.S. senators who have said they would vote for the repeal to 'please keep your word.'

Lady Gaga has not given up on the drive to repeal the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy barring gays and lesbians from serving openly. As the Democrat-led Congress reconvened on Monday for the lame-duck session before Republicans take over leadership of the House of Representatives in January, Gaga issued a video message urging her fans to keep fighting.

"Right now, we're looking at tomorrow [Tuesday] being a very important day for you guys all to really be paying attention," she says in the clip, noting that the Senate will begin a repeal hearing soon.

The two-minute black-and-white video, which appears to be filmed backstage at a Gaga show, finds the singer sporting a short blond bob wig, a black leather jacket, animal-print tights and her signature round sunglasses.

The Pentagon is slated to release its long-awaited report on the repeal of DADT on Tuesday (November 30). Early leaks of the document show that the majority of troops don't care about allowing openly gay and lesbian soldiers to serve. Time magazine reported that Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will tell the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday that they're also ready to lift the 17-year-old ban. A Senate vote on the repeal could come as early as next week, but as Gaga mentioned in her video, if action does not come swiftly during the lame-duck session, the chances of securing a repeal could be lost when Republicans take over control of the House.

"Otherwise it could take years for it to happen," she says. "Social repression is currently running rampant in this country as many of you know. Kids are being led to believe that it's OK to hate and condemn based on our differences and this recent horrific news of gay suicides is really proof of our social repression and ultimately government repression that is killing our youth. We have to end this law because it reinforces discrimination and it's setting a bad example."

Gaga has been at the forefront of the fight to repeal DADT, putting the topic on front pages around the world in September when she arrived on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards accompanied by four gay and lesbian service members who'd been discharged because of the policy. That kicked off a flurry of activity by Lady Gaga over the next few weeks in an attempt to help get the DADT ban overturned before the midterm elections — an effort that ultimately failed due to a Republican filibuster.

"We've known for many years that an overwhelming majority of Americans are ready to repeal," she continues in the clip. "Senators, you have been put on notice by me and by the people of this country. You said you would debate and address this law when the Pentagon returned with a strategy and tomorrow morning you will have it. So will you keep your word? Please keep your word."

She then encouraged her Little Monsters to go to the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network website to join the fight for repeal and for information on contacting Senators.

"As a performer, this issue means so much to me," she concludes. "And I know sometimes that political activism when you're a pop singer can be kind of trivial, but in truth I feel very close to all of you and I feel like I share a very special connection with my fans and I feel like I can speak for you, and you're screaming, 'Please end this law. Equality for all.' "

'They're going to do a great job,' Kunis says of Franco and co-host Anne Hathaway.

News broke Monday morning that Anne Hathaway and James Franco had been tapped to host the 83rd annual Academy Awards, but those reports never reached two of Franco's co-stars.

That evening, at the red-carpet premiere for "Black Swan" in New York, MTV News asked Natalie Portman, who stars alongside Franco in the upcoming comedy "Your Highness," what she thought of the hosting news.

"I didn't hear about that!" she told us. "That's awesome. That's really cool."

Earlier in the day, Franco's "Date Night" co-star Mila Kunis (who also happens to star with Portman in "Black Swan") stopped by the MTV Newsroom, and when we asked for her thoughts on the Oscar development, she too confessed she hadn't heard.

"What? That's awesome," she said. "I think they're going to do a great job."

Both women will likely be on hand for the festivities, as "Black Swan" is a front-runner to nab nominations in a slew of categories, from Best Picture to Best Actress for Portman. There's even an outside chance Kunis could reel in a Best Supporting Actress nomination. Franco, meanwhile, has been a leading contender for an acting nod based on his turn as a trapped hiker in "127 Hours." How his hosting duties will affect his chance of receiving a nomination and then winning the award is anyone's guess.

All Portman knows is that with Franco and Hathaway emceeing the ceremony, the 83rd Oscars should be a whole lot more entertaining than past versions of the show.

"That'll be more fun to watch than usual," she said.

Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis Talk Starving, Bonding For 'Black Swan'

'Suddenly we were on set together in tutus, emaciated and tired,' Portman recalls of commiserating with co-star.

Much has been made of the sweaty sex scene in "Black Swan" between Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, two longtime friends who had to strip down for some bumping-and-grinding in the name of art.

But let's be clear about one thing: It can hardly be said that the friends spent the entire shoot in lesbian-love mode (the aforementioned scene was filmed in just one day). Rather, Portman and Kunis spent the majority of the production engaging in bonding of another kind: commiserating about how freaking hungry they were, as both women had to shed weight to play world-class ballerinas.

"Mila and I had had 'sweatpants nights' watching 'Top Chef,' and suddenly we were on set together in tutus, emaciated and tired," Portman told MTV News at the "Black Swan" red-carpet premiere on Tuesday night.

So much for the glamorous life of a Hollywood actress. The process of losing the weight, which included a restrictive diet and hard-core dance training, took months — both before and during the shoot. As Kunis put it, "It was months and months and I was always hungry."

But the friends got through it together, and afterward they gorged. "The second they were like, 'You can eat now,' I ate everything in two minutes," Kunis said, adding that her first post-"Black Swan" meal took place at an airport food court. "Panda Express at JFK. I'm a classy broad."

As physically demanding as the movie was, Portman told us that it brought the two of them closer.

"It's interesting always to see someone working who you only know socially," she said. "It's great to see someone do so beautifully in a work context after you know they're just a fun, cool person."

Will you see "Black Swan" when it opens? Tell us in the comments!

Angelina Jolie Hits Backs Against Bosnian War Movie Criticism

'There's one person who has a gripe,' actress says of war victim's complaint.

After initially seeking to ease tensions with a Bosnian women's group that has raised concerns over Angelina Jolie's directorial debut, the actress has now spoken out against the group's leader and called her worries out of touch with mainstream opinion.

The Women Victims of War and its leader, Bakira Hasecic, have been speaking out against Jolie's untitled film — and a purported storyline in which a rape victim falls in love with her captor on the eve of the 1992 war — leading this week to Hasecic's declaration that she intended to file a complaint with the United Nations refugee agency.

Speaking with Reuters in Paris, Jolie hit back against the criticism. "There's one person who has a gripe," Jolie said.

"The absolute majority of the people, population, the cast, prime minister, president have been extremely supportive," she explained, adding that the vast majority of the film's crew had lived through the war, which lasted from 1992 to 1995.

In October, Jolie struck a much more conciliatory tone regarding Women Victims of War's concerns, saying in a statement, "My hope is that people will hold judgment until they have seen the film."

But after Hasecic's group filed a complaint with the UN, for which Jolie is a goodwill ambassador, the actress-turned-director has become more pointed in defending herself. Previously, a rep for Jolie denied the movie contained any plotline about a rape victim falling in love with her rapist. In her October statement, Jolie said, "There are many twists in the plot that address the sensitive nature of the relationship between the main characters, and that will be revealed once the film is released."

Jolie told Reuters she initially planned to pen a screenplay focusing on the often delayed international response to international conflicts, but that her research led her to focus on the former Yugoslavia. "It kept leaning toward Yugoslavia at the time, I wanted to learn more about it and the people, the more I read and learnt, I was drawn to that part of the world," she explained. "I met artists from that part of the world and found they were extraordinary for what they'd gone through, so I wanted to give them a platform."
