In four weeks, Justin Bieber's 3-D flick, "Never Say Never," will be in theaters. As fans gear up for the film event of 2011, Ryan Seacrest shared a never-before-released clip from the Bieber film, which opens on February 11.

In the video, Bieber performs an acoustic version of "Baby." The performance footage is combined with scenes of him greeting his fans, something manager Scooter Braun admits is the highlight of working with the teen superstar.

"Me and the guy from 'Extreme Home Makeover' have the best jobs in the world," Braun explains in the new clip. "It's actually the most gratifying thing about the job. Little things go a very long way. You get paid to just make other people happy."

Braun admits that it really doesn't take much to make a Bielieber happy, just some primo seats to a Bieber show. "You give them free tickets and they're usually in the first 10 rows," Braun further explains. "If it weren't for those kids out there, we don't have jobs."

This is only the latest peek at the forthcoming film. A few weeks ago a clip of Bieber drumming as a kid was released. In it, his mom recalls his early days. "He never had any lessons or anything. I just never thought of it being anything other than for fun," Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette, says.

The film's director, Jon Chu, told MTV News that he was nervous showing Bieber cuts of the film because he worried that the singer wouldn't be happy with the way he told his story.

"I mean, I'm always nervous. We're always trying to make our movies better," he explained. "We're never done with it, though. I just keep going until they tell me I've run out of time. So [Justin] got to see it this week, which was really exciting, and he loved it, which is always scary when you try to show someone the story of their life, but he's been very supportive, he and his family and his team. I'm excited to share it with the world and show another side of 3-D. With 'Step Up 3D,' we learned a lot of lessons and we discovered a lot of things, and it's just the beginning."

Joe Crede Agrees to Minor-League Deal With Rockies

If you found yourself enjoying the 2010 baseball season less than usual because Joe Crede was missing in action, you'll be happy to hear the following bit of news.

The Rockies have signed the third baseman to a minor-league deal that comes with an invitation to spring training. Crede, 33 in April, missed the entire 2010 season after having back surgery, and only played 234 games over the two previous seasons, so it would seem like quite a longshot that he'll be able to offer the Rockies much this season.

It's a good longshot for them to take, however. Crede hit 36 home runs in those 234 games, which shows that he still had his power despite battling a back injury. He was also a good defensive player. Coors Field tends to be quite a friendly place to hitters with quality power strokes at the plate, so rolling the dice to see what Crede has to offer makes a lot of sense.

Taylor Swift Tops Billboard Again, While Michael Jackson Debuts At #3

In a big week for sales, Swift's Speak Now fends off Susan Boyle for #1.
By James Montgomery

It's the most wonderful time of the year ... especially for the music industry. Album sales surged thanks to all you holiday shoppers, and you put Taylor Swift back on top of next week's Billboard albums chart. Swift barely edges out Susan Boyle in a week that saw plenty of big numbers put up across the board.

Swift's Speak Now sold more than 259,000 copies (up 30 percent from last week) to claim the #1 spot, according to figures provided by Neilsen SoundScan. Meanwhile, Boyle's The Gift sold more than 254,000, ending her run atop the chart. The week's highest debut belongs to the late Michael Jackson, whose posthumous Michael album sold nearly 228,000 copies to open at #3. A pair of holiday-themed releases — Jackie Evancho's O Holy Night and the "Glee" cast's Christmas album — round out the Top 5, selling nearly 191,000 and 158,000 copies, respectively.

Up next at #6, it's R. Kelly's Love Letter, which debuts with sales of nearly 154,000 copies, and, at #7, it's Diddy-Dirty Money, whose long-delayed Last Train to Paris opens to the tune of nearly 101,000 copies sold. The rest of the Top 10 is filled out by Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday (#8, more than 97,000 copies sold), Kid Rock's Born Free (#9, nearly 94,000) and the "Glee" cast's The Music, Volume 4 (nearly 87,000).

Outside the Top 10, there are debuts from "American Idol" runner-up Crystal Bowersox, whose Farmer's Daughter sold nearly 58,000 copies — 20,000 more than "Idol" champ Lee DeWyze sold in his first week — to open at #28. Smoove R&B crooner Tank's Now or Never bows at #35 (more than 43,000 sold), and Ciara's Basic Instinct, has a meek debut at #44, with sales of nearly 37,000 copies.

Nearly every album in the Billboard top 50 posted a sales increase from the previous week's numbers, including Katy Perry's Teenage Dream (#15), which saw a 26 percent increase in sales, Justin Bieber's My World 2.0 (#18, with a 36 percent bump in sales) and Eminem's Recovery (#22, with a 39 percent jump). And that trend looks to continue on next week's Billboard chart, too, since there are still two shopping days left before Christmas.

Jennifer Lopez Plays Dance Diva On New Single 'On The Floor'

With the new season of "American Idol" premiering Wednesday, you'd think Jennifer Lopez would have enough on her plate. However, the singer/actress is working hard at a full-blown musical comeback as her brand-new single, "On the Floor," featuring Pitbull, premiered early Tuesday morning (January 18) on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.

In the track produced by RedOne, Lopez commands the dance floor over a techno beat, which incorporates a sample of Kaoma's worldwide hit "Lambada." "If you go hard, you gotta get on the floor/ If you're a party freak, then step on the floor/ If you're an animal, then tear up the floor/ Break a sweat on the floor/ Yeah, we work on the floor," she sings.

Jenny fans got their early fix when the demo for the Pitbull-assisted tune hit the Internet on Friday. Later that day, Seacrest sent Lopez fans into a frenzy when he revealed he would debut the finalized version of the track this week. Lopez is expected to make a radio appearance with her "Idol" co-star on his radio show Wednesday. "Fun talking to you on the carpet last night ... look forward to catching up Wednesday morning on air!!!" she tweeted.

J. Lo has been teasing fans about her collaboration with super-producer RedOne (Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" and "Bad Romance") via Twitter. "I see u @RedOne_Official! We're making BIG things happen 'On the Floor' this new year!!!" she wrote last week.

Back in November, RedOne spoke to Blackbook magazine about his studio sessions with the singer, saying, "Musically, I'm trying to combine all the elements that [make] her who she is. We connected, and it was easy to work together. She's in another headspace. She's very positive and content. She knows what she wants to do."

In addition to "On the Floor," the entertainer's viral clip for her buzz track "Good Hit" also surfaced online. In the minute-and-a-half clip, the Latin bombshell instructs her all-female class on the latest in "Advanced Fierceology/ Work It Out 101."

What do you think of J. Lo's new tune? Share your reviews in the comments!

Matt Capps Gets $7.15 Million From Twins

Matt CappsThe exodus of relief pitchers from the Twins bullpen this offseason has been very good to Matt Capps.

Capps, acquired from the Nationals at the trading deadline in exchange for top prospect Wilson Ramos, avoided arbitration by signing a one-year, $7.15 million deal with the team on Tuesday. While the return of Joe Nathan to past form after missing all of last season with Tommy John surgery is hardly a sure thing, the decision to give Capps such a big deal is a bit of a head-scratcher.

The Twins let Jon Rauch and Brian Fuentes, each of whom share the "certified closer" tag with Capps, walk away as free agents and their combined deals for 2010 were worth slightly more than what Capps will make. Matt Guerrier and Jesse Crain will also make considerably less than Capps, but they got three-year deals that would be a bit harder for the Twins to swallow for effective, if not mind-blowing, relievers.

Britney Spears Taking Risks For 'Hold It Against Me' Video

'She is taking risks when it comes to fashion, when it comes to choreography, when it comes to this music,' choreographer Brian Friedman says.
By James Dinh

In Britney Spears' "For the Record" documentary, the pop icon stressed the importance of dance in her life, even saying that she'd be "dead" without it. And on the heels of a new era in music, the singer is ready to take her signature dance skills to a whole new level in the music video for her latest single, "Hold It Against Me," according to choreographer Brian Friedman.

Speaking with MTV's "The Seven," Friedman dished details on rehearsal time, his take on the new tune and his longtime partnership with the entertainer.

"This is a dance video. Rehearsals can get pretty rough," the choreographer said. "We're playing it safe, we're not trying to kill ourselves yet, but as the video comes closer and closer, we'll definitely be hurting our backs. There was a moment while we were rehearsing where I showed Britney a section and it was something I really wanted her to do, and she freaked out. ... It's crazy when you first see something like that, how overwhelming it can be, especially when you haven't been in the [dance] studio for a year."

Despite Ms. Spears' early hesitation, the dance mastermind said it was probably the wrong section of the routine to show her first, revealing that the pop superstar has learned the moves and is "killing it now."

Reports of a new Britney music video leaked in December when the fansite BreatheHeavy.com posted a notice for auditions. "It's been the biggest buzz, you know?" he continued. "There's been a lot of speculation as to when the actual project started and it's been blowing up on my Twitter. People have been asking, 'Are you in rehearsals? Are you in auditions?' and that's the mystery that should be unknown. What we do know is we're in rehearsal studios right now and the video's coming."

How exactly does "Hold It Against Me" fare in comparison to the slew of other dance tunes under Britney's belt? Calling the iTunes chart topper "the hardest dance track that she's ever put out," Friedman said, "It's infectious. The beat gets inside of you, and just when you think you know it, it takes a turn. The song, in particular, is one of my favorite songs I've heard off the bat. I'm really excited about choreographing it."

Spears and Friedman have a long-standing professional relationship, including working together on the pop singer's 2002 dance heavy "Overprotected (Remix)" music video. Later on in his chat with "The Seven," the Illinois native recalled his first encounter with the then-teenager through a mutual friend who was dancing for her at the time. After meeting with the singer, Brian teamed up with her for her Grammy performance.

"From then on, we became friends and she is fun to work with," he gushed. "She's a Southern girl — she's all about having fun and laughing and cracking jokes. I think you can expect the unexpected from Britney. She is taking risks when it comes to fashion, when it comes to choreography, when it comes to this music — she's grown up so much, and she's pushing 30 years old soon, so she's a strong independent woman and I think she wants to show that."

Justin Bieber Shoots His Return To 'CSI'

Singer tweeted a photo of himself in makeup for February 17 episode.

If you were concerned that Justin Bieber snapped and got into a scrap with an overly aggressive photographer, relax, it's just makeup. Images of Bieber with a pretty impressive shiner started zooming around the Internet on Tuesday, but the picture is just a still from the set of "CSI," which the singer will revisit next month.

Bieber, who first appeared on the show in September, tweeted the photo of his makeup-caked black eye on Tuesday along with the message "On set ... where? Let's just say I'm back to my evil ways. #badass."

According to Entertainment Weekly, after getting good notices his first time around, Bieber is set to reprise his role as troubled teen Jason McCann in an upcoming February 17 episode of the crime procedural titled "Targets of Obsession."

The show will air during February sweeps (go figure), six days after Justin's movie debut in his 3-D biopic/concert film, "Never Say Never," which opens in theaters on February 11.

In his first "CSI" appearance, which was Bieber's acting debut, he portrayed a young kid whose older brother had been killed at the end of the previous season. Cops suspected that Bieber's character took out his anger over his brother's death on authority by planting bombs. In his second go 'round, currently being filmed, show regular Nick (George Eads) tips Jason off that he might be in "imminent danger."

Last year, "CSI" executive producer Carol Mendelsohn told MTV News that the teen star would be returning to the show, explaining how the September episode left unanswered questions about his character. "At the end of the episode, we're left with the question: Is Jason a good kid stuck in a bad situation or is Jason a bad kid hiding behind his cuteness?" Mendelsohn said. "You can see why Justin was such a perfect choice to play this role. ... It's an explosive story."

While fans will surely cheer his return to TV, they recently learned that Bieber will not be the subject of an episode of "Glee," as was widely rumored.

After stories began to swirl that Bieber Fever was slated to sweep McKinley High, Ryan Murphy, the co-creator of the Fox hit, cleared things up, explaining the role that the teen star's music would play in an upcoming episode. Murphy maintained that unlike other superstars whose repertories have received "Glee" overhauls — like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Madonna — Bieber's current list of hits isn't long enough to sustain an entire hour of New Directions-helmed numbers.

"Those [tributes] are reserved for artists with big catalogs," he told Entertainment Weekly. "Bieber comes up in episode 13 as a small plot point. Sam [Chord Overstreet] sings a JB song to win Quinn's [Dianna Agron] approval."

Justin Bieber's Magazine Covers Chart His Meteoric Rise

Teen sensation's Vanity Fair cover follows a spate of increasingly high-profile mag appearances.

Justin Bieber first appeared on teen magazines like J-14 and Tiger Beat alongside fellow idols like the Jonas Brothers, but Bieber quickly established himself as a marquee cover boy. He was soon being profiled by industry publications like Billboard and embraced by mainstream mags like People.

Bieber's first big solo cover was the March 27, 2010, issue of Billboard. On the cover, Bieber sported a cardigan and those signature bangs while holding up a boom box. That appearance was quickly followed by his April 19, 2010, People magazine cover, which came out just weeks after the release of his My World 2.0.

Early on, Bieber proved he was comfortable on shoots. "He's always been a natural in front of the camera," said Melissa Victor, VP, Media & Artist Relations at Island Def Jam Music Group. "I don't think that kid can take a bad frame."

By the summer, Bieber was making headlines as teen magazines began proclaiming they had "Bieber Fever." He covered Seventeen's June/July issue and Teen Vogue's October edition. "He has very strong ideas of how he wants to look," Victor said of the Island Def Jam artist's visual evolution. "His mom is already working on a scrapbook of all his covers," she revealed. "She requests every single cover no matter how big or small; everything from J-14 to People magazine."

In addition to making the covers of some of the entertainment industry's most popular magazines, the singer also scored some memorable profiles in places like VMAN, Interview and Elle, in which he waded on the beach with Kim Kardashian.

With his latest cover for Vanity Fair, Bieber shows he's growing in terms of his public image, from teen heartthrob to pop superstar — one who can be appreciated by both teens and adults.

"Justin loves his core audience but it is important for him to continue to evolve as an artist, and with that evolution we want to insure that more and more people of all ages embrace his music," she said. "It is great that these magazines have been there to chronicle his journey."

2011 already looks to be a massive year for Bieber, and Vanity Fair is just the beginning. "He so honored and excited to grace the cover of Vanity Fair. He knows he is in great company, he doesn't take it for granted at all," Victor said. "This is has been a great way to kick off the New Year. But this is just the beginning. His fans can rest assured they will continue to get their 'Bieber Fix.' "
